(Prajatantrik) today suspended four of its MLAs on the ground that they indulged in anti-party activities.

Party chief Babulal Marandi announced the suspension of Naveen Jaiswal (Hatia), Amar Kumar Bauri (Chandankiyari), Ganesh Ganju (Simeria) and Alok Kumar Chourasia (Daltonganj) at a press conference here.

"The four have been suspended for anti-party activities," Marandi said, adding that a letter has been sent to Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon.

JVM's Legislature Party leader Pradip Yadav said, "We will meet Governor Syed Ahmed to demand a judicial probe into the ongoing political happenings in Jharkhand."

Yadav, who did not elaborate on what political happenings he meant, said the party would observe February 11 as "black day" in the state.

"For anti-party activities," Yadav replied when asked whether the action was taken following the MLAs' reported hobnobbing with the ruling BJP.

The JVM had won eight seats in the November/December Assembly polls.
