Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM) president Babulal Marandi today said his party will play the role of constructive opposition and support the Raghubar Das-headed state government in all good works.
The former Jharkhand Chief Minister, who was in the steel city to meet his party's former MLA from Ichagarh in Seraikela-Kharswan district Arvind Kumar Singh currently undergoing treatment in the M G M Hospital under police custody, said JVM will honour the mandate of the people.
"We will play the role of a constructive opposition and support the government's good work in the interest of the state and its people," Marandi replied when asked about possibility of any alliance between JVM and BJP.

The JVM supremo also said tribal and non-tribal chief minister in Jharkhand was not an issue as there was no constitutional binding over it.
During the campaigning in the last month's Assembly election, he said BJP's slogan was "Purn Bahumat, Sampurn Vikas" (absolute majority and all-round development).
As BJP has an absolute majority in the state, it should keep its promise of all-round development while assuring JVM's support in the people-oriented developmental works.
"We have polled 10 per cent in the state and the outcome of the poll has surprised many," he said, adding that the verdict was below expectation.
Marandi alleged barring JVM, all political parties including BJP, Congress, JMM and AJSU Party had "influenced" the poll with money power.
When asked about defeat in both the seats he had contested, Marandi said such things happened in politics and cited examples of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Sibu Soren.
