K G Suresh appointed as DG of IIMC

K G Suresh, a journalist, was today appointed as the new Director General of Indian Institute of Mass Communication for a period of three years.

The name of Suresh, who is at now senior consulting editor with Doordashan news, was cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.

47-year-old Suresh will have a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of his charge, an official notification said.

Suresh, who has worked with the PTI, was a freelance journalist who had contributed columns to newspapers before his assignment with the Doordarshan.
