Vice President Hamid Ansari today condemned the terror attack in Kabul, saying "such wanton acts of violence can have no justification".

He called for action against terrorists and those who were giving shelter to them.

"The perpetrators and those who support and shelter them should be punished for this crime against humanity," he said in his message.

Ansari said India remains committed to building a peaceful, secure and prosperous Afghanistan. "The people of India stand as one with their sisters and brothers in Afghanistan in this difficult hour," he said.

At least 80 people were killed and hundreds wounded today when a massive truck bomb ripped through Kabul's diplomatic quarter.
