Select pulses, led by kabuli gram, rose by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market on emergence of stockists buying following uptick in demand from retailers and dal mills.
Traders said stockists buying, driven by pick up in demand from retailers and dal mills against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up kabuli gram and other pulses prices.
In the national capital, kabuli gram small gained the most by rising Rs 200 to 4,500-5,500 per quintal.
Gram, gramdal local and best quality also went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,900-4,000, Rs 4,000-4,400 and Rs 4,400-4,500 per quintal respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety too seen in demand and traded higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,300 and Rs 6,100-8,000 per quinal.
