Kajaria Ceramics Q1 net up 20% at Rs 46.22 cr

Company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs 38.58 crore for the April-June quarter of 2014-15

Kajaria Ceramics today reported 19.80 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 46.22 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015-16.

The company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs 38.58 crore for the April-June quarter of 2014-15.

Kajaria Ceramics' net sales in the quarter under review rose to Rs 546.03 crore, up 9.12 per cent, from Rs 500.37 crore the year-ago period, the company said in a BSE filing.

In a separate filing, the company said its Board of Directors has approved to acquire 51 per cent stake in Floera Ceramics Pvt Ltd, Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh) by subscribing to the equity shares of the company for an undisclosed sum.
 

"Floera Ceramics Plans to put up a manufacturing facility of polished vitrified tiles with a capacity of 5.70 MSM p.a. in Andhra Pradesh," it added.

The company scrip were trading at Rs 774.25 apiece in the afternoon trade, down 1.63 per cent, on BSE.
