Kajaria Ceramics today posted a 7.68 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 63.62 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 59.08 crore during the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal.
Net sales on consolidated basis was up 4.14 per cent to Rs 705.46 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 677.37 crore of the corresponding period a year ago, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd said in a BSE filing.

Total expenses was up 3.78 per cent to Rs 600.49 crore as against Rs 578.57 crore.
Shares of Kajaria Ceramics today settled at Rs 661.50 on BSE, down 9.08 per cent from previous close.
