The Kakinada beach festival will be held here from January 9 to 11, a senior district official said today.
"The state government has earmarked Rs 1 crore for the festival and arrangements are being made for the festival," East Godavari District Collector H Arunkumar said.
The collector, who chaired a review meeting for the festival, also said that most likely the festival could be extended by another couple of days.
"The Andhra Pradesh government has identified nine event management agencies, of which, one would be selected to conduct the festival in a grand manner," the official said.
