Actress Kalki Koechlin says people's support for her latest film "Margarita, With A Straw", centred around a differently-abled person, has made her hopeful about the success of movies with unconventional subjects.

Kalki stars as a 19-year-old girl suffering from cerebral palsy in the recently-released romantic comedy. The film talks about her struggle with the normal activities in her life.

Happy with the public response to the film, the "Dev D" actress tweeted, "I'm going to be out of network for a few days so just want to say what an overwhelming response for MWAS. It restores my faith in people."

National Award-winning multi-lingual film "Court" also released the same day. Kalki, 31, said she was happy that fans also supported the independent courtroom drama, which features no big star.

"And I want to thank each and everyone of you who stepped out on the opening weekend for MWAS or Court. You make films like these possible," the "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" actress tweeted.
