Kalpataru Power gets shareholders nod to raise Rs 300 cr

Engineering firm Kalpataru Power Transmission has received shareholders nod to issue securities worth up to Rs 300 crore on a private placement basis.

The company had earlier proposed to "make an offer of or invite subscription to secured/unsecured redeemable non- convertible debentures...For an aggregate amount not exceeding Rs 300 crore in one or more series/tranches on a private placement basis".

The nod for issuing NCDs was given by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on September 29.

The company had tabled a special resolution to raise Rs 300 crore in its Annual General Meeting.

The special resolution is passed with requisite majority, the company said in a regulatory filing today.
