Former union minister Gurudas Kamat thanked the party leadership today for their confidence in him while being appointed as General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee.
Kamat said he has assured both Congress president and the vice president, that he will do his utmost to justify the confidence shown in him by giving him responsibility of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Daman and Diu, besides Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
