Karman Kaur Thandi and Ojasvinee Singh kept the Indian hopes alive as they set up a semifinal clash in the ONGC ITF Juniors at the DKS today.

Unseeded Karman upset the seventh seeded fellow Indian, Vasanti Shinde 6-4, 6-3 while in another quarters today Ojasvinee ousted Russia's Anna Ureke 6-2, 7-5.

Top-seeded Pranjala Yadlapalli went down fighting against Raveena Kingsley, the US-girl who had won last week's Grade 2 ITF Juniors in Delhi.

Raveena took a quick lead of 4-1 in the opening set but Pranjala broke back little later to stretch the match to a tie-breaker which the American won by a close 9-7.

In the second set, it was 3-3 where Yadlapalli was broken and Kingsley took advantage of the situation as she won the set by 6-4.

In the boys' singles, French duo of Clement Larriere, the fourth seed and Geoffrey Blancaneaux, the seventh, entered the last four from different halves of the draw.

Larriere defeated Tung Lin Wu of Chinese Taipei 6-4, 6-2 while Blancaneaux shattered hopes of third seed India's Garvit Batra 6-3, 6-3.

They are joined by the unseeded but strong Mandresy Rakotomalala, the recent champion from Delhi's Grade 2, who surpassed India's Paramveer Singh Bajwa by a clean 6-1, 6-2.
