Delhi police drew a blank in tracing him after another round of raids at his premises in Haryana and Delhi. "We have not been able to locate him. We are doing our best," a senior police official said.
In his bail plea, which will be heard tomorrow, Kanda said Geetika was "hypersensitive" and the act of suicide was a handiwork of an "unsound mind" of a "frustrated" individual.
Kanda has been accused of abetting the suicide of Geetika, an ex-airhostess of his now defunct MDLR airline. There had been speculation that he may surrender today.
Challenging the trial court's August 9 order dismissing his bail plea, Kanda contended that Geetika was not able to strike a balance between her personal life and work.
"The deceased was a person of hypersensitive nature who was unable to deal with the ordinary petulance or strike a balance between her personal life and work ethics," the bail plea said.
Kanda said "the very reading of the suicide note makes it abundantly clear that the act of suicide on the part of the deceased was not the handiwork of sound mind but that of a confused and frustrated individual.

Kanda, who has been accused by Geetika of harassment, said in his bail plea that there was nothing in the FIR or her suicide note to suggest that he ever "goaded, urged, prompted, incited or encouraged the deceased to commit suicide."
23-year-old Geetika was found hanging in her flat in north west Delhi on August 5.
In a suicide note found at her residence, Geetika said she was ending her life due to harassment by Kanda and MDLR official Aruna Chaddha, co-accused in the case. Both have denied the allegation.
On August 8, the Delhi police arrested Chaddha whose police custody was extended by another three days by a Delhi court today with the prosecution saying that attempts are being made to destroy vital evidence.
"It has come to our knowledge that since the day Kanda has been absconding, attempts have been made to destroy records of the company (MDLR). So we have to recover them as early as possible with the help of Chaddha," Additional Public prosecutor Rajiv Mohan said.
