Lyricist Kannadasan was today
remembered on the occasion of his 89th birthday.
Tamil Nadu Information Minister KT Rajenthira Balaji and his cabinet colleagues--TKM Chinnaiah, B Valarmathi, BV Ramana and Abdul Rahim, and Mayor S Duraisamy paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of the lyricist here.
Kannadasan had penned lyrics for the films of a number of actors including yesteryear superstar MG Ramachandran and was known for his wordplay, earning him the sobriquet 'Kaviarasu' (The King of Poets).
