Rapper Kanye West met with President-elect during his trip to New York City.

West, 39, was photographed entering Trump Tower with his entourage, including a videographer and Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, just after 9 am, reported People.

"We've been friends for a long time," Trump, 70, told reporters as he posed for photos with West.

The rapper stayed silent when asked whether he would perform at Inauguration Day and if he still planned to run for president in 2020.

"I just want to take a picture right now," West said with a smile before shaking hands with Trump and leaving.

Last month, West made headlines as he canceled tour following a meltdown where he ranted about stars like Jay Z and Beyonce besides declaring his support for Trump.

"I told y'all I didn't vote right? ...But if I were to have voted, I would have voted for Trump," he had said amid 'boos' from the audience during one of his performances before his hopistalisation for mental exhaustion.
