'Kapal Mochan Mela', which has been declared as state festival by Haryana Government because of its historical and religious significance, would be held from November 21 to 26 on the eve of 'Kartik Purnima' at Bilaspur nearly 28 km from here.
About 12 lakh pilgrims are expected to take bath in holy sarovars (sacred tanks) during the fair, an official said here today.
Deputy Commissioner S S Phulia directed the concerned officials to make arrangements for drinking water, shelter, electricity and take steps to ensure cleanliness at the fair grounds, repair of roads, filling of fresh water in the sacred tanks on time.

Kapal Mochan is an ancient and religious place symbolising unity and integrity of the people of different classes, castes and religion.
Hindu and Sikh pilgrims from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh and Uttar Pradesh visit the fair to take a dip in the Kapal Mochan, Rin Mochan and Surajkund Sarovars to attain Moksha.
