Kapas futures rise on spot demand

Kapas prices looked up by Rs 1.50 to Rs 941.50 per 20 kilograms in futures trade today on the accumulation of bets by the participants, enthused by rising spot demand.

Market players said strengthening of demand from fibre units in spot markets mainly led to an upsurge in kapas futures prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, kapas delivery of April moved up by Rs 1.50, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 941.50 per 20 kg.
