Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra today alleged that the BJP was targeting him with "malicious" and "mischievous slander" by posting "misleading, wrong and false" information in his name on social networking sites, but the saffron party rejected the charges.
"Some members of the BJP IT machinery have now resorted to creating a page where incendiary posts are being made... In one such post, they have made fun of the funeral procession of the Nirankari Sant Baba Hardev Singh by equating it with a political rally, intentionally to paint the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), in poor picture.
"It is the usual troll and hate brigade of some BJP members who are resorting to such horrible methods to paint the AAP in poor light. Since they can not fault us with delivery of policy and governance on ground, they are resorting to such malicious techniques of slandering the AAP," a statement issued by the AAP minister's office stated.

It claimed that in the past also, the AAP leader was targeted by such acts of members of the BJP IT machinery.
However, on past instances, Facebook had blocked and banned all such profiles after these were reported for misrepresentation, it said.
The statement added that a complaint will be registered with the public policy team at Facebook and Twitter, and a criminal complaint will be filed against the BJP IT Cell with the Delhi Police in this regard.
Praveen Kapoor, media-in-charge, BJP Delhi office, meanwhile rejected the claims by the AAP leader.
"BJP does not involve in fake activities. It is in the nature of Aam Aadmi Party to come up with allegations against the saffron party. If they are planning to file a complaint, let the police do the needful," he said.
