Kapurthala Sainik School to organise NDA awareness camp

Kapurthala Sainik School will organise a National Defence Academy (NDA) awareness camp to encourage students of government schools to join the Armed Forces.

The camp will be held on the school premises on October 1. School Principal Col Sudhanshu Arya said here today that more than 1,500 students of Classes X, XI, XII are expected to participate in the one-day camp.

He said that series of events have been planned to make the event informative like showing a short movie on the training and infrastructure of National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla and Sainik school Kapurthala will be screened in the school auditorium.
 

An interactive question-answer session to clarify the doubts and answer the queries of the audience, eligibility criteria and various modes of entry into NDA will be held in the camp, he said.

Besides, there will be an impressive display of weapons like various small types of arms, rocket launchers and armoury used by the infantry units.

Sainik school Kapurthala is a pioneer institution in the chain of 25 sainik schools being run by Ministry of Defence in the country and has a rare distinction of producing more than 800 defence officers risen to the senior ranks in the Armed Forces, he said.

Brigadier Narinder Singh, local station commander, will inaugurate the camp.
