A 47-year-old Karate coach was arrested yesterday for allegedly molesting his 13-year-old student, the police said today.
According to the police, Sarvajit Singh, who runs an academy in Rabodi area of the city, had allegedly been touching the girl inappropriately since 2015 under the pretext of training.
However, the girl confided in her parents only recently after Singh made her half-nude photo viral on social media, the Rabodi Police Station inspector R M Somvanshi said quoting the complaint.
He was booked under appropriate sections of the IPC besides under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and Information Technology Act, the officer said.
