In its sitting at Cochin International Airport Limited today, the Parliamentary Standing committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture has asked the Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials to inform it in a week's time the status of the report being prepared on the violence, sources said.

The visiting eight-member committee expressed its displeasure over the delay in filing report during its sitting with top officials of the AAI, CISF and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the sources said.

The visiting parliamentary panel consists of MPs, including Shatrughan Sinha, K C Venugopal, Ritabrata Banerjee, Ram Charitra Nishad, Arpita Ghosh, Rahul Kaswan and Dasarath Tirkey.

In the unprecedented violence at the Karipur airport, a CISF jawan was killed and three others were injured when a service revolver went off during a clash between CISF personnel and fire officers of AAI.
