Six months after the Buddhist shrine was rocked by serial bomb blasts, the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorjea today led a special prayer here to reaffirm the Buddhists' commitment to non-violence.
Thousands of people from across the Himalayan region and 30 other countries prayed for peace, a statement from the Karmapa's office said.
"No bomb can destroy Buddha's love or blessings," it quoted the Karmapa as saying.

Later, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed that the dastardly act was committed by Indian Mujahideen terrorists.
