Karnataka government has made a plea to the Centre to provide financial assistance to the state to improve basic facilities at Hampi, a UNESCO world heritage site, Minister for Tourism R V Deshpande said today.
Speaking on the concluding day of the three-day "Hampi Utsav" here, he said the plea had been made through Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu recently.
Minister for Rural Development and Panchayatraj H K Patil and Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimappa were present at the event.
