Karnataka clears investment proposals worth Rs 2,050 cr

Karnataka State High-Level Clearance Committee headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today cleared five projects involving investment of about Rs 2049.75 crore.

Five investment projects cleared today include investment of Rs 1,325 crore by Himatsingka Siede, Rs 248 crore by Stelis Bio Pharma, Rs 213 crore by Harsha Sugars, Rs 156.25 crore by Auric Industries and Rs 107.50 crore by Cheers Breweries.

These projects are expected to provide employment to 3,532 people, a government press release said.

The 38th High-Level Clearance Committee meeting also gave approval for three projects for additional investment and expansion with an investment of about Rs 896.47 crore.
 

The statement also reminded that approvals given to 255 projects in 2013-14 has brought investment worth Rs 42,176.54 crore, and has employed 171,451 people.

Similarly, 108 projects cleared in 2014-15 has brought investment worth Rs 54,433.01 crore and employed 56,101 people, it added.
