The WGC would be held at Durban from October 27 to November 3.
The four-day festival will also see former cricketers Syed Kirmani, Erapalli Prasanna, Sunil Joshi and Venkatesh Prasad display their skills at KGA, Golf Management MD and Asian Games gold medalist Rishi Narain told reporters here.
"Five winning individuals in various handicap categories will participate in the WGC," he added.
The player with the best gross score and whose name does not feature on the IGU Order of Merit, will get to compete in the Duke of Edinburg Cup to be held from September 30 to October 4 at Windsor Castle in Britain, he said.
Later, Chikkarangappa and Khalin Joshi were felicitated for dominating the amateur golf circuit this year. They have been named in the Indian squad for the World Amateur Team Championship to be held at Antalya Golf Club's PGA Sultan Golf Course in Turkey from October 4 to 7.
Winner of TATA Steel Western India Amateur Golf Championship, Joshi said he had a good year contesting against top golfers and hoped to do well in future.
Chikkarangappa said competing in junior tournaments has helped him prepare for bigger challenges. In addition to this, the Sir Michael Bonallack Trophy has given him a great exposure.
