A division bench headed by Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen recalled the stay order after the counsel representing KPSC submitted that there was a need to continue the examination process as it was in the interest of public and to avoid accumulation of posts.

The court order came during the hearing of a batch of petitions including one by City-based Spinal Cord Injuries Association, an organisation working on disability issues.

The bench had earlier stayed the process of examinations conducted by the KPSC until the State Government identified the posts for disabled. However, during the next hearing in October, the bench had vacated the stay on A and B category appointments.

Earlier, Advocate General Vijay Shankar submitted the state government had identified posts for the physically challenged in accordance with Union Government
