Karnataka in control after bundling Kerala out for 137

Karnataka are now all set to take the first innings lead. At stumps today Ganesh Satish (not out 2) and Amit Verma (not not 2) at the crease on the first day of the two-day final match.

For Kerala, middle order batsman Robert Fernandez 43 (127b, 3x4) was the highest scorer, while Akshay Kodoth (25) chipped with runs.

Karnataka's left arm spinner K P Appanna claimed four for 35 and medium pacer Abhimanyu Mithun took three for 36.

In reply, Karnataka openers -- K B Pawan (32) and Robin Uthappa (32) -- gave their team a good start before K R Sreejith (two for 35) and S Anish (two for 21) picked up four wickets between them.
