Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said the state government has ratified 46 proposals of Rs 38,653 crore investments in 46 different heavy industries, which would create jobs for 1.27 lakh people.
"The high power committee of the government has ratified 46 proposals of Rs 38,653 crore investments in 46 different heavy industries, which would create jobs for 1.27 lakh people," he said in the Assembly here.
The Chief Minister, in a written reply, said out of the 75 proposals, the committee had approved 46 of them. "However, no proposal had been turned down. The pending proposals will be placed before the Committee for appropriate decisions," he added.
The industries would come up in Mysore, Bangalore, Koppal, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad, Bellary, Belgaum, Mandya, Kolar, Tumkur, Davanagere, Hassan and Chikballapur, Siddaramaiah said.
