Karnataka today shocked defending champions Kerala 40-36 in the 42nd National Basketball sub-junior championship.
Aanaga led the way for Karnataka with 12 points. Last year's runners-up Chhattisgarh also lost today in an extra time thriller against Maharasthra.
Shruti Bhosale's 20 points tipped the match in favour of Maharashtra, who wonby the slimmest of margins (71-70).

Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh girls also registered wins on the second day against Delhiand Bihar respectively.
In the boys', defending champions Madhya Pradesh won their second game in the tournament, this time against Haryana by 53-39 margin.
Last year's runners-up Chhattisgarh defeated Uttar Pradesh 47-32. Tamil Nadu picked up their second victory with a 67-62 win against Punjab in a close game led by S.Sharan who scored 22 points. Odisha and Maharashtra boys were also involved in an extra time nail biter with Odisha clinching it 60-56.
Karnataka played their first game of the tournament today and defeated Jammu and Kashmir team 39-24.Telangana boys also emerged victorious against Tripura 71-20.

In boys section, Maharastra defeated Uttar Pradesh 61-56 and in girls section Maharastra beat Uttar Pradesh 72-42 and Karnatka beat Kerala 65-57.
