Karnataka bowlers produced a clinical show to bowl Tamil Nadu out for just 61 to set up an easy eight-wicket victory for their team in a South Zone leg match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 Trophy at the Nehru Stadium here today.
Seamer Ronit More produced a spell of 3-2-1-2 as he reduced Tamil Nadu, who were put in, to 36 for 4. Debutant opener L Suryaprakash and Shahrukh Khan added 24 runs in a brief resistance, but they were the only batsmen to reach double-digit figures.
Four other Tamil Nadu batsmen bagged ducks and the final five wickets fell for just one run.

Karnataka chased down the target in quick time as they reached 65 for 2 in just 9.1 overs. Openers Mayank Agarwal and R Samarth knocked off 38 runs in 5.1 overs. Tamil Nadu did strike twice in the sixth over, but Samarth and Karun Nair sealed the chase inside 10 overs.
In other South Zone matches, pacer Bandaru Ayyappa took 3 for 9 and Prasanth Kumar struck a quickfire half-century as Andhra thumped Goa by eight wickets and eight overs to spare, while leg-spinner Amit Verma (4/14) starred in Kerala's 27-run win over Hyderabad.
