Karnataka to hold mega event to woo investment

Karnataka government today said it will organise 'Invest Karnataka 2015' from November 23 to 25 to attract and promote investments in the state.

The government said the focus countries for attracting investment would include Japan, Taiwan, Middle East, Germany, France, Sweden, Singapore and the US.

The event would reach out to investors across the world seeking investments in sectors like manufacturing, aerospace, automobiles, machine tools, defence and heavy engineering, the government in a release said.

Other sectors include agro and food processing, textiles, energy including renewable energy, tourism, information & bio technology, pharmaceuticals, electronics & semiconductors manufacturing, infrastructure projects, private industrial parks, and smart townships.
 

Meetings would be held with industry associations, industry leaders, global CEOs, embassies and consulates of various countries in India, it added.
