The Telugu Desam Party today said that people of Karnataka voted the Congress to power in that state as there was no alternative.

"People of Karnataka did not vote for the Congress liking its policies but because there was no alternative. From 2G to coalgate, all major scandals happened under the UPA regime. People of the country will teach a befitting lesson to

the Congress and the UPA whenever general elections are held," TDP Vice-President E Peddi Reddy said.

The Karnataka results proved that people voted out a corrupt and an unstable regime.

"People rejected the corruption under the BJP rule. Corruption was similar in Andhra Pradesh (under Congress) and Karnataka (BJP). The fate that the newly-formed BSR Congress in Karnataka in this election will befall on the YSR Congress in AP in the coming elections," Peddi Reddy added.

Leader of Opposition in AP Legislative Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu too said that the YSR Congress, led by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, would meet the same fate as B S Yeddyurappa's KJP and BSR Congress.

"Everyone knows the (corrupt) links between YSR Congress and BSR Congress. Even the ruling Congress in AP will be wiped out in a similar fashion as it is also steeped in corruption," he said.
