Senior PDP Leader and MP Tariq Hameed Karra today demanded scrapping of NSFA in the State and asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to take a urgent call on it.
Keeping in view the State wide protests against the implementation of this National Food Security Act (NFSA) and tremendous miseries being faced by the people of the State, J&K CM will be kind enough to take the required steps in this regard on priority at an earliest, Karra said in a statement today.
Karra blamed the department of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) for the passage of the alleged faulty bill in the State legislature and for allegedly manipulating the updating of records thereby pushing thousands of people to the starvation.
