The official Facebook page of DMK president M Karunanidhi now has over two lakh followers and steps are on to revamp websites of both the party and that of its chief ahead of 2016 assembly polls, the party said today.
"Party president Kalaignar Karunanidhi's Facebook page now has over two lakh followers and it is remarkable," a party headquarters press release said.
Karunandihi's account "Kalaignar89" in social networking (https://www.Facebook.Com/Kalaignar89) site Facebook was launched in 2012.
On his followers crossing the 2,00,000 mark, Karunanidhi, a prolific writer, hailed the party cadres for being the "veins" of DMK that makes it a "fort" and thanked them for their support.
Efforts are afoot to revamp and expand Karunanidhi's website www.Kalaignarkarunanidhi.Com and that of the party http://www.Dmk.In/, the DMK said.
