Kashmiri children on Army's national integration tour

Two-day national integration tour for Kashmiri children orgainised by the Army concluded here today.

During their stay at Chandimandir Military Station here, the 20 children along with two teachers from the Valley visited various places in the city like War Museum, Air Force Base, Infosys IT Park, Rock Garden and Elante Mall.

At Chandimandir, they were also provided with an insight into the activities of the Army, said a defence release.

The aim of such tours is to make the children responsible 'citizens of tomorrow' and give them an insight into the vast natural, historical and cultural heritage of the nation, it said.
 

Earlier, the children were flagged off from Shopian in Kashmir on October 14. They are also slated to visit Shimla and Jammu as part of their tour itinerary.
