Director Kathryn Bigelow is developing a Jihadi recruitment drama for HBO.
The 64-year-old "Zero Dark Thirty" filmmaker will join hands with rapper rapper/poet K'naan Warsame, who will pen the script, exec produce and direct the potential series, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Titled "The Recruiters", the drama is set in Minnesota and "will draw open an iron curtain behind which viewers will see the highly impenetrable world of Jihadi recruitment."
The Oscar-winning filmmaker and former HBO president Carolyn Strauss also will exec produce.
Bigelow had previously directed the 2010 drama pilot "The Miraculous Year" for the channel.
