Brazilian Bruno Pinheiro today surprisingly termed FC Goa's Laxmikant Kattimani the best Indian goalkeeper ahead of the likes of the national team custodian Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
"In my opinion, Kattimani is the best Indian goalkeeper," said Bruno at the ISL media day today.
Kattimani is one of the two players retained by the Goa franchise, while Sandhu, the only Indian to have played for UEFA Europa League, is a reserve member of the Bengaluru FC's squad.

"I was away from Goa for two years. Wanted to come back and things fell in place this year. We are strong as a team. We will not be individualistic like in previous seasons," said defender Bruno about his return to the club.
FC Goa were the runners-up in second season of the ISL, but finished eighth and last in the previous edition.
"I am happy with the standard of the Indian players in the team. They are willing to imbibe what is taught to them. I won't single out anyone. Three of them have benefited from playing with the national team," said Goa FC's new coach Sergio Lobera of Spain.
Meanwhile, last season's Golden Boot winner, Brazil's Marcelo Pereira who will represent FC Pune City in this edition's league, starting on November 17, said he will give his best shot.
"I am happy and proud of my performance last season. I will give my best this year too," said Marcelo.
