Kaurvika maintains lead after day 2

Host club's Kaurvika Kumar maintained her lead in the 0-24 handicap category over nearest rival and club mate Ivana Kaushal Shah after the second day of the three-day 4th BPGC Open All India Ladies Amateur Golf Tournament, here today.

Kaurvika returned the best card of the day, 81, to take her two-day total to 158 which was four strokes better than second-placed Ivana who carded 84 for a 36-hole aggregate of 162.

Kaurvika went out in 41 and returned a score of 40 after having carded a better opening day score of 77 yesterday.

However, Ivana performed even worse on the return leg (44) to lie in second place - two strokes behind Rani Maheshwary who carded 82 today, the same as yesterday, to lie third from among 28 competitors.
 

In the 25-36 handicap event, Ria D'Costa led the 23-strong field with a two-day total of 195, nine strokes ahead of yesterday's leader Asha Doshi.
