Kaziranga National Park, habitat of the Indian Great One-horned Rhinoceros, will reopen for tourists from November one after its routine closure for six months.
The Kaziranga Park authority has also decided to keep the Jeep and Elephant Safari excursions open to visitors from that date until further order, according to a government release today.
The Park situated in Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam is open daily from November one to April 30, unless due to rains in any exceptional year it has to be closed earlier by the management for safety reasons, KNP sources said.
