A joint meeting of TRS MPs, MLAs and MLCs today authorised party president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take a call on the party's stance in the Presidential election.

Rao would take a decision in the interests of Telangana at an appropriate time, TRS leader in Lok Sabha A P Jitender Reddy said.

"We authorised him to take a decision, which ever is good for Telangana, at an appropriate time," he told PTI here.

Meanwhile, an internal survey conducted by the party predicted that TRS would win comprehensively if elections are held now, party sources said.

According to the survey, TRS would get 111 assembly seats, out of 119, and 16 Lok Sabha seats (among 17), they added.
