After having ditched the Congress, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti may dump the Communist Party of India as well to go it alone in the ensuing elections to Lok Sabha and state Assembly.
Nothing is final as yet because the TRS politburo is said to be strongly advocating the need for a tie-up with the Congress and/or the CPI to emerge as a formidable combination in Telangana.
"We have suggested that we have an alliance with the CPI, if not the Congress. But he (TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao) is not ready to heed (our advice)," a party's politburo member and former MP said.
