KEC International bags orders worth Rs 1,243 crore

In the transmission and distribution business, the company has bagged orders worth Rs 995 crore from firms in India, Saudi Arabia and America

Engineering firm KEC International today said it has bagged orders worth Rs 1,243 crore across various business segments in both domestic and international markets.

"KEC has secured contracts worth Rs 1,243 crore in its transmission and distribution, railways and cables businesses in domestic and international markets," the company said in a statement.

In the transmission and distribution business, the company has bagged orders worth Rs 995 crore from firms in India, Saudi Arabia and America.

In Saudi Arabia, the company received two orders from the Saudi Electricity Company -- construction of 380 kV overhead transmission line (OHTL) and for shifting of 380 kV and 132 kV OHTL.
 

In the railways business, the company secured an order of Rs 137 crore for railway electrification from Central Organisation of Railway Electrification. Similarly, in the cables division, KEC received orders of Rs 111 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables, it said.
