Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and discussed several issues, including the proposed DMRC Phase-IV.
There approval for the Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been pending with the city government.
"Delhi CM Shri @ArvindKejriwal came to see me this evening. We reviewed different issues relating to Delhi, including DMRC Phase-IV, where action is pending from Delhi Government & the way forward," Puri tweeted.
In February 2016, the AAP government had given in-principal approval for the construction of Phase IV project, but the Delhi Cabinet is yet to take a final decision on it.
In March this year, Kejriwal had said there were "issues of financial viability" on some of routes falling under the proposed Phase IV. The Delhi Finance department had also made objection on some routes which may not be financially viable.
In May this year, Puri had said the Centre would take a decision on the execution of the much-awaited metro's Phase-IV project if something was "lacking" on the Delhi government's side.
