A youth today hurled a stone at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal at a rally in South Delhi's Tigdi today but the former Delhi Chief Minister escaped unhurt and blamed BJP for the attack.

Kejriwal was addressing a rally in the area under Deoli Assembly constituency when the incident occurred.

The youth in his 20s was stopped by AAP activists as he was hurling the stone and it fell short of podium where Kejriwal was standing.

Reacting to this incident, Kejriwal said, "The BJP is scared and has become restless which is why it is resorting to such activities."

Later he tweeted, "One person threw a stone at me in deoli jansabha today. BJP so scared? Resorting to violence? I wish well for the boy who did it."

The youth was handed over to police who were deployed at the meeting.
