The Delhi BJP today "condemned" Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for leveling "unfounded" allegations of corruption in the party-ruled three municipal corporations.

Both the BJP and the AAP have sharpened their attacks on one another in view of the MCD polls, scheduled in April.

The AAP has come out with a nearly 20-minute-long video of the party convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

In the video, which will be used in the campaigns for the civic polls, the Chief Minister has said that the Delhi government has given Rs 2,800 crore to the three MCDs, yet it has not been able to maintain the cleanliness in the city.

"There isn't a single work that the MCD does with out taking bribe. They even take bribe for issuing a death certificate," Kejriwal has alleged in the video.

Accusing the Kejriwal government of constantly denying the funds, Delhi BJP leaders said that the funds were needed by the municipal corporations to properly discharge their civic duties including sanitation services.

"This biased denial of funds has resulted in repeated breakdowns of civic services during last few years, stalling of maintenance and development works, and social welfare works due to lack of funds," said a joint statement by Delhi general secretaries Kuljeet Chahal, Rajesh Bhatia, Ravindra Gupta.
