Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today praised the courage shown by Ramanjeet Kaur, who was hit with brick by a head constable of Delhi Police in posh central Delhi locality, saying the city needs citizen like her who could speak up against prevailing corrupt practices.
Kejriwal today met Kaur, who was accompanied by her husband Gurdeep, at the Delhi Secretariat and also assured her good medical treatment after she complained to him about not getting a proper treatment to her injuries, an official statement said.
"We are proud of you. We are strongly with you and will do whatever we can. Delhi needs citizens like you, I alone can't change the system, we all need to work together to change the corrupt practices prevailing," Kejriwal said.

To which, the Chief Minister told them that he would arrange the copy of the FIR and assured her proper treatment, the statement said.
The Delhi CM then instructed the Health Minister Satyendra Jain to arrange for good medical treatment of the woman.
Jain later met Kaur and her husband and arranged for her treatment, it said.
In a horrific incident of police brutality, yesterday traffic head constable Satish Chandra was seen hitting Kaur with a brick in posh central Delhi locality after an altercation in a video clip.
He was later arrested and dismissed from the service as the incident triggered widespread outrage after the clip of policeman attacking the young woman with two children at Golf Links area went viral.
