Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reconstituted the Governing Body of the Delhi government's Sindhi Academy.

The tenure of the governing body, except the ex-officio member, would be for two years.

The art, culture and languages department has issued a notification for reconstituting the 20-member body under the chairmanship of the chief minister.

"The chief minister (chairman of the academy) is pleased to reconstitute the Governing Body of the Sindhi Academy," the notification stated.

According to the notification, principal secretaries of the finance and art, culture and languages departments have been appointed as ex-officio members of the body.

In 1994, the Sindhi Academy had been established as an autonomous organisation for propagation, promotion and development of Sindhi language, literature and culture.
