Kejriwal's choice for chief secy's post tipped to get home min

SK Srivastava, a 1980-batch IAS officer, is likely to replace DM Spolia as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi government.

Sources in Delhi government said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had sent a letter to the Union Home Ministry requesting it to appoint Srivastava as the new Chief Secretary.

They said that Home Ministry has already indicated to the government that it would be heeding the Chief Minister's request.

Srivastava is currently serving as the additional secretary and financial adviser in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Spolia, a 1979-batch IAS officer, was appointed Chief Secretary in December, 2012.
