In yet another attack, Arvind Kejriwal was today slapped by a man during a roadshow in Sultanpuri in North-west Delhi, leaving his left-eye with a minor injury but the AAP leader refused to take security while blaming BJP for it.

The man identified as Lali, who is an auto-rickshaw driver, first garlanded Kejriwal and then slapped him following which the attacker was thrashed by AAP supporters.

The 38-year-old man accused Kejriwal of not fulfilling promises made to auto-drivers. He was later detained by police but no complaint was lodged either by Kejriwal or AAP.

"I do not understand why do some people resort to violence for becoming the Prime Minister. If you think by attacking us, we will keep quite then you are wrong. We will fight this battle till the last breath," a furious Kejriwal, in an apparent reference to Narendra Modi, said immediately after he was attack.

Kejriwal sustained a minor injury on his left-eye and his spectacles were damaged in the attack.

The AAP leader called off the roadshow following the incident and headed for Rajghat where he sat for over an hour. Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai and Somnath Bharti were among scores of party leaders and workers who joined Kejriwal at Rajghat.

"Why do these people attack only us and not others. In future, we will also have more dangerous attacks and life threatening attacks, but we have to be ready to face it and not retaliate," Kejriwal said addressing a press conference later.

The AAP leader alleged that attacks on him are a part of a "larger conspiracy" and questioned why were these acts only carried out against his party.

"Questions arise in my mind on who is the mastermind behind these attacks. Is it one person or there are many? What are they going to achieve from this? I am not able to understand this," he said.

Kejriwal said he will not accept any security.

"I don't need any security. I have written to police several times, but still you see some policemen surrounding me. They are there despite my writing letter to police. I can't remove them, but I don't need security," Kejriwal said.
