Kejriwal to attend Mother Teresa's sainthood ceremony in Rome

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will visit the Vatican City in Rome to attend the sainthood ceremony of Mother Taresa in September.

A senior government official said Kejriwal has accepted the invitation of Missionaries of Charity to attend the event.

Kejriwal will be joined by West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee, sources said.

Mother Teresa, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, will be declared a saint by Pope Francis on September 4.

In March, Pope Francis had announced that Mother Teresa would be canonized as a saint.
